Story
I'm raising money for the RSPCA Derby Branch because i'm a huge animal lover and want to make a difference. Animal charities are often overlooked and recieve no government funding so run purely on donations - so the more money I can raise to help them out the better! The RSPCA Derby Branch costs £4000 a week to run which requires a lot of effort to raise.
We recently rescued our beautiful cat Morris from the RSPCA Derby branch who has brought so much happiness into our home to join our five other cats - so the charity is quite close to my heart. We also found two of our cats abandoned at just four weeks old, shivering and wet by the side of the road. That is why I want to raise money by running the Carsington 7+ to help stop these animals from suffering due to people who just do not care.
The RSPCA Derby Branch works endlessly to reduce the sufffering of animals. They rescue animals often brought to them by inspectors, rehabilitate them and them rehome them to a loving home where they can live out their lives in happiness. In addition to this lifesaving work, they also run campaigns and investigations to change the law and improve welfare for animals who do not have a voice.
The money I raise will help the RSPCA Derby Branch to rescue animals suffering from being abused, neglected and mistreated. It will help to investigate claims of cruelty and to eventually rehome these loving animals;
£10 can board a horse for a day who has been mistreated.
£25 can provide the vital kit needed for the inspectors including a hard hat and lifejacket.
£50 can help provide an animal first aid kit, carrier and catching equipment for an inspector's van.
Animals have no voice and against us are defenceless, so every penny raised is a penny to go towards saving them and giving them the love and affection they deserve. Animals cannot speak for themselves so they need people who support charities like the RSPCA to speak for them.
I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who donates for this cause and greatly appreciate all the help I can get to support this brilliant charity.
