Hiya guys,

My names stacey and this is just a little something to make you see why i have choosen this charity... (This is my story)....

On the 2nd of July 1992 i was two years old my mum had just given birth to my little brother 9 days before, i woke up very early and without waking anyone i went down stairs, i climbed up on to the sofa and climbed up to the highest shelf in the front room,
i grabbed a box of matches and lite one which i dropped on to my nightie, after hearing me scream my dad came rushing down the stairs and patted me with cushons to put the fire out which after then i was put in an ambulance and rushed to hospital which i was in there for a few weeks recovering it left me with 60% burns on my body my burns go from my chin all the way to the tops off my arms down my chest and stop at the top of my belly then start again from the top parts of my legs i have none anywhere else except of my finger on my right hand where i had lite the match and my finger was curled and i had to have a pic holding my finger straight with made my nail grown wonky as i like to put it, scene then i have gone though a number of operations called skin graphed releases and still haven't finished now (at the age of 23), i have currently had a conversation with my consultont and at the moment in time considering another surgery but this ones a bit different as this time it wont be my skin i'll be using but a new thing which involes sharks membrain!!! .

as to this day i can t remember anything at all this is what i have been told from my nurse from hospital (who was my nurse when i first got rushed in) and also from my mum and dad and family), it bothered me when i was younger but not so much now :) if anyone would like to ask me anything about my burns please do i am not ashamed by them
