I paddled across Scotland on my stand up paddleboard for MERLIN, the UK's leading international health charity.

I paddled on the Union and Clyde&Forth Canals between Edinburgh Quay and Bowling Basin (to the west of Glasgow). The trip was 66 miles long (106km). Travelling quite slowly at 3mph/5kh, I completed the journey in 2 x 12.5 hour sessions finishing in the evening on April 30th, a day earlier than planned by doing 2 longer days rather than 3 shorter ones.

My fundraising target, £650, is the cost of equipping one MERLIN mobile clinic for a month.

MERLIN sends medical experts to the frontline of global emergencies and provides long-term medical relief to the world's most vulnerable people.

If you'd like to support MERLIN, donating through JustGiving is secure and your money is sent directly to the charity.

Many thanks. Cathy.
