Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, works in partnership with health professionals to try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and funds research that could help to reduce the numbers of babies dying and families devastated by this tragedy.

Story

Stanley is 8 years old and wants to raise money in memory of Seamus Goldie, one of his cousins who was tragically born sleeping 5 years ago.

For his 5for5 challenge Stanley has decided to learn and perfect one piano piece each week for 5 weeks. Stanley is naturally very musical and can hear a piece once and pretty much play it back to you on his first attempt. However this challenge isn't as easy as it sounds as Stanley finds reading music quite tricky. He has an immensely patient teacher in Mrs Sue Trost who has taught him for the last 2 years. He is practicing hard as his challenge got under way on what we felt was a very appropriate date-5th day of the 5th month in 2016. He hopes his efforts will raise as much money for Sands in memory of Seamus as he can!

If you feel you would like to support Stanley, he would be delighted to receive a donation of £5 towards the 5for5 challenge. Please see the team page for further information on Seamus and his family xx
