Story
Last Year my Mum-in law was diagnosed with multiple Myeloma and It completely changed our lives. It made me realise just how imporant the little things are. We have seen her highs and her lows and she continues to fight this battle.
It was shocking how quickly it happened, She had gone from one day having a bad back but other wise being healthy to suddenly being rushed into hospital diagnosed with cancer.
In my small little life my biggest worry would be how my hair looked going in to work - while she was wondering if she would survive her next part of chemo. It put everything into perspective for me and thats when I new I wanted to do something diffrent.
I have decided to have my head shaved because my hair matters to me, and I wanted to choose something that would remind me why I am doing this. I also hope that I will be able to donate my hair to be made into a wig so that I am helping another person directly. My mum-in- law also unfortunatly lost all her hair - but she embraced it, and I was so overwelmed by her positive attitude and courage.
I plan to have my head shaved in December when I have hopefully raised as much as possible.
Thankyou for taking the time to visit my page :-)
