Story
The Firefighters charity has helped a number of Market Bosworth Firefighters get back to operational fitness following injury. We are immensely proud of what they do and the support they provide.
Market Bosworth Fire Station have been raising money for the Firefighters charity for many years. We are regularly awarded for our hard work and have been regional champion fundraisers at our carwash events on numerous occasions in the past. This is all down to your local support and it is very much appreciated.
We are hosting an open day to allow the local community to see what we do, raise awareness of Fire Safety and support our ongoing recruitment campaign for new Firefighters.
Market Bosworth Fire Station is crewed by On-Call Firefighters. We carry alerters and respond to emergencies when they occur. Following a full training program you could be responding and keeping your local community safe with us.
When we respond to incidents involving Fire we wear Breathing Apparatus Equipment. The role of a Firefighter requires a robust level of fitness and our personal protective equipment and breathing apparatus weighs approximately 30kg. We will be doing a sponsored treadmill challenge in full Breathing Apparatus during the open day. You will be able to see the technologies we use to monitor Firefighters in Breathing Apparatus.
