SARA is a sanctuary and re-homing centre for dogs, cats and other small animals which require help. Its sole purpose is the welfare of the animals.

Story

The Lyke Wake Walk is a 42 mile hike across the North Yorkshire Moors, which is to be completed in under 24 hours. The path goes from Osmotherly in the west, to Ravenscar in the east and is the longest point across the moors.

I am currently assembling a team of fellow idiots to take part in this bout of masochism. So anybody also wanting to join in is more than welcome.

If anybody would like to help, but doesnt think they'd make the distance, we're also looking to assemble a support team to help with drop off, delivery of cups of tea, bacon butties, and fresh water, and collection in ravenscar - this would make a BIG difference in upping our chances.

My chosen charity is S.A.R.A (Saltburn Animal Rescue Association). They do a lot of good work looking after and re-homing stray and abandoned animals and rely solely on donations and voulenteer work.

The event is currently looking to be taking place on Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th of october.

Cheers for checking out the page, please sponsor generously - think of the puppies - and the fact im going to have to drag my arse 42 miles across hills, moorland, rivers, bogs and cow pat filled fields.
