After the success of my first run in the Manchester 10K I am now running the Birmingham Half Marathon on the 21st October. Any continued support and donation would be muchly appreciated. Thank you and I will let you all know how I get on.

Next month I am running the Great Manchester Run to raise money for The GEM Appeal. Many of you will have never heard of this charity and I was the same until my little cousin Lily was born with a condition called PKU.

Without going into the science of things, if PKU is left untreated it can cause seizures and irreparable brain damage. Lily needs a very specific diet to avoid the devastating effects of PKU.

The Willink Unit, which is based in Manchester, helps Lily and other families deal with PKU and other genetic disorders. This is a great charity which means an awful lot to me and is the reason I am running for The Gem Appeal.
