I'm sure you are all aware of our story and why this means so much to me. But for those of you who don't know, in September 2018, we were given the devastating news that Michael had Stage 4, Bowel Cancer, having spread to his liver and peritineum. We were told he had years and not months to live, so we started to plan and complete some of our bucket list items with the help from our amazing friends and family. After 10 months of making some amazing memories but also facing utter hell, as Michael had some terribly shit luck along the way of an already shit journey, he sadly died. And our lives thrown into chaos and devastation, which will never be the same again. I lost my husband and soul mate, Arthur lost his Dad, others lost their son, brother, uncle and friend.

Michael was the most amazing and inspirational guy that I have ever met and had the complete joy of being his wife for 3 and half years. He wanted to raise much needed funds for Bowel Cancer UK and tell his story to others. So him and a bunch of his friends and family raised over £25,000 for Bowel Cancer UK by taking part in Decembeard 2018. He thought that by being open and honest about his journey, he could help save someone else's life along the way and hope that the funds he raised would go towards vital research, finding a cure or just raising awareness of this evil disease and how to look for the early signs of Bowel Cancer. I want to carry on for Michael, in help raising awareness and fundraising for such a worthy cause by running the LONDON MARATHON in April 2020. A lot of you will know, I am a bit of a keen runner and I have applied to run the London Marathon about 12 times!! So I am incredibly chuffed to be able to do it for such a charity so close to my heart. I know Michael will be cheering us along. He will get me to the end, just like he would if he was here.
