Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've decided to enter the Great Manchester Swim. YES, I might be a little crazy in the brain because I get the feeling that it's gonna be a bit chilly in there. As you may or may not be aware, I've been on a bit of a weight loss/fitness kick in recent months, and I've lost over 2 stone since the end of 2011 so now entering this swim seems like a wonderful way to do something I've never done before and a bit of a personal celebration - plus, marathons really aren't for me! And I get to wear a wetsuit.

I've chosen to swim in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis trust, and in memory of my lovely friend Roselea. I loved that girl more than I could ever tell you, and there's not a day goes by that I don't miss her. It's been over 5 years now since she passed away. I KNOW she'd be proud of me for all of the things that have happened since we spoke last.

The CF Trust does some amazing work, looking into gene therapy and research into a startlingly common, incurable and debilitating disease. Therefore I would encourage you all to support this charity in any way you can - beginning by sponsoring me!
