Sounds like such a crazy idea but on Saturday 03rd December 2011, I will be joining three colleagues in a tandem skydive in Brackley to raise money for the Bright Horizons Children's Foundation.
The Bright Horizons Foundation in Europe launched in August of 2005 and has to date opened 6 Bright Spaces in the UK and Ireland.
The reality for the millions of children experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or other trauma is that there are fewer opportunities for them to develop the social, cognitive, language, and gross motor skills that are important for academic success.This has serious and long-lasting developmental outcomes, which often contribute to a cycle of instability that is difficult to break.
Bright Spaces, the signature program of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, creates warm, enriching playrooms in community agencies that give children and families in crisis a special place to learn and have fun.
Again, all money raised is aimed to help all Children have a opportunity to do as well as they can. I personally have spent a lot of time since the age of 16 working with young people through sport and moentoring giving them opportunities to socialise and grow as individuals within a safe environment so this cause "Bright Spaces" is very relevant to me. I've been with Bright Horizons early 2011 and the money raised can help reach more children and better their futures.
