Hi Guys :)

Im Steph and I am finally fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine.

After having to postpone my jump due to breaking my toe its now been rescheduled for Sat 13 August.

Ooooooooooh my god i cannot believe its nearly here..im going to be doing my jump in 4 days time :) I am not nervous..yet..just sooo excited :)

I was a teenager when i got this notion into my head to do a tandem skydive..dont have a clue where it came from but i am full of randomness as alot of you may know :) But this idea has stayed with me all these years and i began to think that i didnt want to look back in 20 odd years n ask myself why i did not do it...then my 30th birthday is coming up and no way do i feel 30...i certainly dont act it half the time :)

So i thought why not mark my 30th by doing something mad like the skydive i have always wanted to do.......I think whats the point of doing it for no reason and so thats why i am doing it for charity. My charity as you know is Friends of the Cancer Centre based in the City Hospital in Belfast...im sure everyone knows someone affected by cancer and it not only affects them but their families and friends also...my grandad died from cancer when i was younger and i dont remember much about it all but i do remember the man he was when i was growing up and i feel sad that he isnt here with us all now that we have grew up and had families of our own.

There is another charity that some of the money raised is going towards and that is The Lions International Charity Shop here in Carnlough..they do alot throughout the year to raise money for worthwhile causes and this charity shop has been set up to raise money for building a house for a family in Bosnia....we have all seen the plight of people in the Third World on TV and im sure i dont speak for myself when i say its horrible to see the suffering they endure everyday and how i wish i could do something...it may only be a little bit but every little helps.

I really really cannot quite believe i am finally here and i am going to be doing this...i am literally bursting with excitement and i cannot wait....i probably will freak out once im up there waitin to jump out so its a good job the professional will be there...seeing as im attached to them! .....I hope you can all help me on my way to raise some money for my charities and have the experience of a lifetime too :-)
