Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

We work in some of the world's poorest places, where people suffer the effects of conflicts beyond their control. We are specialists in supporting communities that are remote, difficult to get to and difficult to work in. Put simply, we help children in places other charities just don't go.

Story

Dear All

On 25th April 2010 I will be taking part in the Virgin London Marathon.

I am running for Children in Crisis and therefore your support will be going to a very worthwhile charity.

This event requires me to complete a 26.2 mile run through the streets of London.  This will be the biggest challenge of my life to date (particularly as I’m not the best runner in the world!!!!) and as such your donation and support will inspire me to work extremely hard with my training programme and also complete the race.

So please dig deep for this worthwhile cause and also to keep me motivated and inspired!!!

Thanks so much in advance!

Wish me luck

Love

Stephanie

Details about the Children in Crisis Charity:

Children in Crisis was established in 1993 to give children in some of the world’s poorest countries the educational opportunities they need to transform their lives. At the heart of our work is the belief that education is an essential tool to over come poverty and social deprivation.

Worldwide, one in six children do not have access to an education. Children in Crisis is working to change this. With the help of our supporters we are able to offer these children hope for a better future and the opportunity to live positive healthy lives.

We currently operate in 8 countries, working with local communities to meet the needs of children in the most effective way. In Africa and Asia we support local organizations to develop education programmes which meet the needs of children and their communities through training teachers, supporting classes for out of school children; training in basic health messages and building and equipping schools.
