Story

Hi everyone,

As i'm sure you've guessed by now I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on January 19th 2012 to raise money for Hoylake Cottage.

Hoylake Cottage provides 24 hour nursing, day care and respite to the elderly and those suffering with dementia.

I'm not exactly a climbing kind of girl (I live in a bungalow and won't leave home without my hair straighteners!) but after meeting some of the residents and staff I realised that things like that didn't matter anymore in comparison to how important Hoylake Cottage is to families across Wirral. I really wanted to do something to help. Next thing you know I'm registered, deemed medically fit and the fundraising began!

So far I have raised just over £1200 leaving £2800 to go. The next event planned is a Bikini Car and Bike Wash on July 30th from 12 noon at The Shippons in Irby Wirral so bring your cars, bikes, vans, lorries... you name it and we'll clean it!

Thankyou to everyone who has already donated, it really does mean the world to me. I hope that with the combined efforts of the staff, volunteers and fundraisers that Hoylake Cottage's doors will still be open in 100 years time.

Thankyou all so much. Steph x P.s Dig Deep!!
