Firstly thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Two VERY brave teams of Halliburton voulenteers have decided to tackle the Sense Scotland Team Rapids Challenge taking place on the River Tummel, Perthshire in September 09. Sense Scotland has been working for over 20 years with children and adults who have communication support needs because of deafblindness, sensory impairment, learning and physical disabilities.
Now this may have been a moment of insanity when we all agreed to take part in this challenge as it contains an 18ft drop!. And without a doubt will this be the most petrifiying thing i have done in my life so far. We are aiming to raise at least £2,500 so please donate! I thought it was time to give something back and make a difference! And (oh good lord) hopefully come out in one piece!! And if not......well its been nice knowing you all!
It is for a fantastic charity, and every penny helps them continue to provide a great service….. and you get the added bonus of knowing that you are paying for us to be drenched, battered, and bruised, and most probably capsized!
The route taken down the river will include various technical rapids finishing with the infamous two-tier 18 foot drop into Loch Faskally.........All i can say is good Luck to everyone and God speed...LOL
