We have set up this page in memory of our beloved Stephen who sadly passed away on Saturday 21 August 2010, aged just 42. He was a much loved husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and a dear friend who will be missed by all that knew him.
Stephen was born in in 1968 and was always very proud to call himself a ‘Scotsman’. He was a keen football supporter and followed Celtic, and Scunthorpe United. He was also a supporter of St Helens Rugby League. He played football in the for many years and went on to become a qualified referee. His hobbies also included golf and cricket.
Stephen was a devoted husband and he and Eunice enjoyed many short breaks and holidays including a trip to in 2009. The last holiday they enjoyed was in July 2010 to the North Yorkshire Moors - a part of the country they had been to many times and were very fond of. This holiday was thanks to the Rethink organisation who support carers of people with mental illness.
He was a wonderful caring man who touched so many with his bubbly personality and infectious smile. We have chosen Rethink so they can carry on supporting carers who greatly appreciate their help like Eunice and Stephen did.
