My story

As Chief Executive of Compaid, I see daily the fantastic achievements that are made by disabled people in Kent.

At Compaid, we support hundreds of disabled people each week in computer skills training, creative development, accessing local services and managing their personal care.

We rely on donations to keep our vital services running and we have ambitious plans for further developments in 2010. That's why I've decided to put on my running shoes after a very long absence, and take part in the Tunbridge Wells half marathon and raise funds for Compaid.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Compaid and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs.

I have just five months to get race fit and ready for the longest, and hilliest route I've ever run. £500 and a sub two hour finish time are my targets, and if you can help me achieve them, I'll be a very happy man - and disabled people in Kent will thank you too.

Stephen
