I think it must be at least 20 years since I last raised money for a charity, but with my father dying from Cancer just over a year ago and the only real support we received was from the fantastic Macmillan nurses, it seemed a perfect opportunity to say thanks and to do something in memory of my father.
I have therefore decided to run the "the BUPA Great North Run" which is a half Marathon and if you know me, you will know I am more of a sprinter, so anything over 400 meters is a struggle.
Also I want to give Rocket Software a mention as I will be running in their team, as it just so happens to be their charity of choice too. I am sure they will help keep me motivated and also they have paid my entrance fee, so how could I refuse!
