Man vs Lakes · 9 July 2016

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Charity works hard to make a difficult time a little bit easier for young and old at our family of nine hospitals. Supporting: Manchester Royal Infirmary | Wythenshawe Hospital | Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital | Manchester Royal Eye Hospital | Saint Mary’s Hospital | Manchester University Dental Hospital | Withington Community Hospital | Trafford General Hospital | Altrincham Hospital | North Manchester General Hospital. We support continuing excellence in treatment, care and research.

Story

My colleagues and I are raising money for Manchester Children's Hospital, a cause very close to our hearts.

Recently a close friend our agency has benefitted from the care they provide and we want to do our little bit to help them care for many more families, now and in future.

As you probably know, I am a bit of glutton for punishment and spend too much of my free time caked in mud, running around and climbing over things. But this race is a little different...

Man vs Lakes is full marathon length trail run taking in a crossing of Morecambe Bay, a swim across Lake Windermere, an obstacle course and some of the steepest terrain the Lake District offers. It's the longest race I've ever run and it's fair to say I'm terrified.

Thank you in advance for any donations you make.
