In 2017 I ran the GSR Half Marathon at short notice and on a whim, and was backed well above expectations by many friends, relatives and colleagues and finished the race in 2hrs 28mins raining £2100 for MHUK.
I continued running after the event, training for two half marathons( one of which was cancelled due to snow) earlier this year and really enjoyed the activity again( I ran a 2hrs 24mins in the one that went ahead in Stirling)
However I haven't done much lately, weight has crept back on, and I want to push myself to both earn your sponsorship, but also to better myself. So I am setting myself a challenge...well two actually
I want a 220 double....I want to reduce my weight from 235 Lbs to 220 by Friday 27th September, but also get my time down from 2hrs 28mins I ran last year to be 2hrs 20 Mins or less this year.
Both are highly ambitious, but on today 18th July, the 2nd anniversary of the Doctor appt where I first sought help, there is no better gift I can pay forward than pushing myself to my limits to raise money for those that need access to the help I was lucky enough to get in time and help me mend myself at my lowest point.
So be it money, encouragement or the offer to come a training run with me, all will be welcomed
Thanks
Stephen
