<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for SUNDOWN's.</p> <p>Oscar was born with undiagnosed Down's Syndrome in January 2010 which was a massive shock for Amanda and me.</p> <p>One of the hardest things was thinking about Oscar's lifelong disability and the challanges he would face throughout his life. Through the support and understanding of our local charity, SUNDOWN's, these issues feel much less scary and we have developed a good network of friends who have found themselves in the same situation.</p> <p>SUNDOWN's have been hugely helpful to us in&nbsp;promoting a positive attitude towards Down's Syndrome&nbsp;and taking some of&nbsp;the fear out of our future.</p> <p>They have given us the opportunity to access regular MAKATON signing courses&nbsp;to help us all with&nbsp;Oscar's communication. They also&nbsp;carry out regular training events for health and teaching professional's, as well as&nbsp;parents, which&nbsp;aim is to ensure&nbsp;all individuals&nbsp;with Down's Syndrome reach their potential.&nbsp; They have also been fantastic in providing regular respite events for all the familes to enjoy.</p> <p>I would be&nbsp;very grateful if you could give anything to&nbsp;support this amazing local charity.&nbsp; They have&nbsp;been&nbsp;alongside us with Oscar and hope they will continue to be through out his years ahead.</p> <p>Thanks,</p> <p>Ste.</p>
