Since 2006 I have been involved with a charity known as Kids In Kailahun. This charity works with orphaned children in the second poorest country in the world - Sierra Leone. Kailahun is the poorest district in the country. Many of the children in this area were used as child soldiers in the 10 year civil war missing out on their childhood and leaving a generation without any education.

KIK aims to help these children rebuild their lives and their community through education.

To me it has made me more aware of all the things we here in the UK take for granted - education, food, our home and our parents. So I am hoping to raise  500 pounds to help fund a education resource centre for the childen to be able to have a safe place to study after school. 

Therefore September 5th 2010 I will be jumping from a light aircraft at 3500 feet, travelling at 20 miles per hour, hoping that my parachute opens!!! It will take just one and a half minutes to travel the 3500 feet!!! so its not for those of you who don't like heights.

So please please help me raise my target and more so that I can help these children have a hope for tomorrow and realise their dreams and help rebuild their shattered community and lives
