Tthe swim is

• One-mile outdoor swim in a spectacular location.
• A unique dock to dock course, set against the rejuvenated docklands of Salford Quays.
• Spectators can follow swimmers around the course from start to finish.
• Featuring elite races with some of the world’s top open water swimmers.
• Brilliant challenge for all swimming abilities, from first timers to Olympic champions
• Inaugural 2010 event attracted 2,000 participants.
• Live coverage on BBC Television as part of Manchester's big day of sport that also includes the Bupa Great Manchester Run and the Great CityGames Manchester.
