Stephen Taylor is raising money for Alzheimer's Society
In memory of Muriel Taylor
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2019, I walked the final 115 km of the Camino De Santiago from Sarria to Santiagio De Compostela. Three months later, I chalked up a further 120 km of the 790 km trail that starts in the south of France and ends in Galicia, northwest Spain, this time from Logroño to Burgos.

In August 2020, I completed the first 160 km of the Camino, from St Jean Pied De Port to Logroño, and a year later I walked from Burgos to Ponferrada, .

During all of these stages, I didn’t seek sponsorship for charity, though people did occasionally ask if I was walking for a cause.

My mother, Muriel Taylor, was born in Liverpool in 1928 and died of Alzheimer's Disease on 1 March 2022. Therefore, as I was planning  the final instalment of my Camino in July 2022, I thought it would be good to provide the opportunity for people to support the Alzheimer's Society, a charity that focuses on researching a disease that takes the lives of so many people.

If you would like to donate to a very deserving cause, I would be extremely grateful. You can follow my progress and read about my previous trips on my blog at http://stevetaylorscamino.home.blog (you might have to copy and paste this link).

By the way, all donations will go directly to the charity, with none of the money whatsoever helping to fund my trip.

Thank you

Steve Taylor
