Story
I am riding 170 hilly miles, from Bridlington to Morecambe, in just 3 days to raise money for dementia research. This is important, as managing dementia and its consequences for patients and carers is an increasingly pressing challenge. Indeed, one in three of us, myself included, has a friend or close family member with dementia, and that is growing. Yet, it receives only about 1/12th of the funding devoted to cancer.
Our target is to raise £350,000 to enable us to use our Nobel Prize winning expertise in MRI scanning to conduct world-leading research into the different ways that dementia damages brain cells. So, please support us as generously as you can.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the University. Thank you for your generosity.
