On the 28th August 2007 Will was born,several weeks later we got the results from the heel prick test. It came as a massive shock that Will has got Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the UK's most common life-threatening inherited diseases.

Cystic Fibrosis affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food.

Each week, five babies are born with Cystic Fibrosis.

Each week, three young lives are lost to Cystic Fibrosis.

I succesfully completed the Mayhill massacre,a gruelling 8.75 hill run and now i have set my sights on another challenge,this time a bit of a longer edurance test. Myself and a good friend are going to canoe the 158 miles from Crickelade to the Thames barrier in a open canoe,wild camping along the way being almost self sufficent apart the odd pub meal ! Support in the way of sponsorship is greatly appreciated but also if anyone has access to canoes/camping gear then feel free to join us for a paddle at any stage along the route !

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK's only national charity dedicated to all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis (CF). We fund research to treat and cure CF and aim to ensure appropriate clinical care and support for people with Cystic Fibrosis.
