I'm doing the 50 mile course (there's 15, 25 and 100 too) of the St Edmunds Wheel Trust Bike Ride (http://www.stedmundswheel.org.uk/home.html) on 10th of June and I hope to raise money for the charity Fledglings (www.fledglings.org.uk).

As the parents of a disabled child one of the many problems you encounter is finding advice and locating and soucing the equipment and adaptations. Even in the age of the internet it is really hard to find out what is available to make life that little bit easier. I came across the Fledglings charity some years ago while searching for simple adapted cutlery for my daughter Molly, who has Cerebral Palsy. The staff at the charity have a great knowledge of the specialist companies and services that are available and so can help both direct you to the right place and, in many instances, supply the needed items. Fledglings provide an invaluable service across the country from their office in Wendens Ambo, near Saffron Walden. I really hope you will help me to help them.
