My story
Official statement from Caudwell Children:
Boyzone singer, Stephen Gately who tragically died on 10th October, was a Goodwill Ambassador for the Stoke-based charity, Caudwell Children. In recent years he has attended many of the Charity's fundraising events with husband, Andrew Cowles and the Boyzone band members. Stephen also auctioned a private performance at the Charity's Christmas ball in Cheshire, raising thousands of pounds for the Charity which provides donations to sick and disabled children acoss the UK.
Trudi Beswick, CEO of Caudwell Children: "Everyone at the Charity is deeply saddened by Stephen Gately's death. Stephen and his fellow band mates have supported the Charity at numerous events and Stephen himself was an official ambassador for the Charity. Our thoughts are with Andrew (Cowles) and his friends and family, he will be missed by the children and everyone at the Charity."

Caudwell Children transforms the lives of sick and disabled children across the UK. The Charity provides equipment, treatment and therapies to individual children. Our Destination Dreams programme provides an organised holiday for children fighting life threatening conditions. The Charity has changed the lives of children with over 160 different medical conditions.
