Story
I….a fine athletic individual ****cough****….will be taking
part my first ever 10k race, then in a Tough Mudder. For those that haven’t
seen it before, it’s a 16km Assault course with delightful obstacles such as
the ‘Arctic Enema’ (sounds delightful right), the ‘Black Widow’ and 'Trenchfoot'.
Now as pleasantly relaxing as this all sounds…I’m doing it
for a great cause. Many of you will have young children, or have friends and
family who do. Hopefully they (like my own 2 little ones) will never be in a
position where they need a place like the The Children’s Hospital Charity
(TCHC), but the sad reality is that these amazing little people do……
Over the next 4 years, TCHC is aiming to raise over £14m
to make the following projects a reality:
A new child centric Emergency Department
Helipad
A new Cancer & Leukaemia Ward
New Child Assessment Unit
Whilst its not much, I’m trying to do my small part (along
with 99 other HSBC colleagues – mainly from UK COO) in making this a reality,
and I need your help to do so.
To be blunt…….they need money!! (I’ve spent too much time
training and not enough asking for the all-important for £££). Below is a link
to my JustGiving page. – please can you take a moment and spare whatever you
can to support this amazing cause. Every £ raised will be matched by HSBC, and
will go towards the HSBC COO (UK) target of £15,000.
