Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our dad, George,  was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in September 2013 and it's fair to say that until then our family really knew little or nothing about this cruel disease.  But we do now!  For more information check mndani.com.

It was an unbelievable shock to everyone, but most of all to our father.  Like many families in this situation we felt helpless.  The outlook isn't good, the deterioration can be terrifyingly fast and there's very little you can do.

But what we can do is raise awareness of the disease and raise funds for things like equipment and research, so to help do this my bothers and I are walking from Armagh City, where our dad is originally from, to Ballinrobe in Co. Mayo, where he lives now, which is just over 160 miles.  The journey will take 4 days (2nd-5th October 2014) and along the way we will visit numerous towns including Monaghan, Longford and Roscommon as well as everywhere in between!  Our aim is to raise as much awareness and as much funds as possible to help fight MND.

Help us fight MND by making a donation.  Every little helps no matter how small.

Thank you :-)
