As you may know, my daughter Holly started suffering from faints and then deeper blackouts during 2009.  During one of our darker moments, we surfed the net and found STARS, a charity for syncope (faint) sufferers.  Through the website we gained some invaluable information, realised that we were not alone, and that some people were not as lucky as us in reaching a diagnosis.

Holly is much better now, from a peak of 9 faints in one day, and around 20 a week, she has only fainted 3 times this year following a tilt table test and new medication.

STARS can help spread the message of hope to individuals and families going through the same thing as we did.
