Story

On 17th, 18th and 19th May I'm joining 5 friends who are all Berkshire fire fighters to cycle from their home fire station in Slough to Newquay in Cornwall. It's a distance of 265 miles over 3 days, stopping in Shaftesbury (90 miles), Exeter (80 miles) and Newquay (95 miles via Dartmoor). Just to add to the challenge, day 1 is directly after a night shift for the 5 fire fighters (I'll be tucked up in bed)!!

We are hoping to raise funds for "Amelia's Miracle" with donations going to help a local toddler, Amelia Saunders from Reading, who was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor in February this year. It's a very moving story, Amelia's family have so far managed to raise £167,000 of a £200,000 target to fund alternative treatment in the U.S. with any additional funds going to research into the condition.
