Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother Tim died three years ago from bowel cancer (see my other web page on JustGiving for Letchworth's Garden House Hospice). Tim was a great older brother to me! His brave and thoughtful struggle with cancer typified his life. Tim's outlook would have been better had he been diagnosed earlier, if we were all a bit more aware of bowel cancer. So a great way of remembering Tim's life is to raise money for a charity that promotes awareness of bowel cancer, encourages early diagnosis, and gives practical help to people facing this issue.

My sponsored bike ride is from Lindisfarne to St. Bees on the 1st through to the 3rd September this year. It's a great route, with a bit of Northumberland, a wander into Scotland, and a beeline to St. Bees at the end.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
