Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm Steve (in the hat on the left) and that's Phil on the right.  I recently visited the Mary How Trust in Pulborough to have a full check up after my Nan sadly passed away after a struggle with pancreatic cancer.  As this is potentially a hereditary cancer I thought it prudent to get checked out. Thankfully I had a very clean bill of health. They do a wonderful job in spotting cancers and other health problems early and allowing people the best chance of treatment.

At the time I gave a donation and vowed to do an event to raise some more money for them.  After some wacky ideas got canned Phil and I settled on doing the Three Peaks challenge in Yorkshire on Saturday 26th June. It's is a circular challenge walk and the route we're doing will be 27 miles encompassing the three highest peaks in Yorkshire - Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m).  We're aiming to do it in around 12 hours.  Phil and I have been traininghard  and the new boots are finally worn in however I wish I could say the same about my legs!

Phil is also fundraising for McMillan Nurses see http://www.justgiving.com/Philip-Mair

So please dig deep for this good cause. Thank you.

Steve
