Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

Having been inspired after watching the TV programme 'Wainwright Walks - Coast To Coast' a year or so ago, I decided that I would like to undertake the challenge to walk the original 190 miles (or to be more accurate, nearly 220 miles) that the great fell walker Alfred Wainwright mapped out across the breadth of England from St.Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire. I will be undertaking the walk with my daughter Clare in May this year and hope to complete the distance in 12 days.

We both thought that it would be a great opportunity to raise some money for a charity and I have chosen CKDCF  (http://www.ckdcf.org/ ) as it was set up by a musician friend of mine, Francis Dunnery(www.francisdunnery.com) to help underprivileged children, appropriately in the Cumbrian Area
