British Gas Great North Swim 2012 · 24 June 2012 ·

At Bendrigg Trust we aim to put an end to disabled people sitting on the side-lines during physical activities. We provide opportunities for people of all abilities to take part in adapted activities such as climbing, caving, canoeing and cycling whilst staying in our fully accessible accommodation.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am again participating in the Great North Swim at Lake Windermere on Saturday 23rd June, 2011. My aim is to beat my current PB for the 1 mile open water swim of 43 minutes.

However, my main focus is to raise £500 for The Bendrigg Trust. Established in 1978 to provide specialist courses and activities for disabled and disadvantaged young people. During this period they have developed a reputation as one of the most versatile and forward thinking residential centres in the country. Groups can enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and, at the same time learn a great deal about themselves and others.

I feel very privileged to be supporting this incredibly worthy charity that does such great work. Please do find 5 minutes to take a look at my profile (and hopefully make a donation) or visit their webpage

http://www.bendrigg.org.uk/index.htm

I will be posting some regular updates on my training sessions, so please bookmark this page !!!

Steve........
