For everyone who donates via this page I will put in a free prize draw to win 2 Grand Final tickets (courtesy of Engage Mutual), a sports nutrition pack (courtesy of JST) and a signed Cycling Shirt i worn from the challenge. I will draw a winner on Monday 27 June. Thanks for your support.

Here's my story!

I played Rugby League for St Helens, Hull, Wakefield, Ireland and was a GB Lions Tourist.

In September 2006, Steve was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a rare form of Cancer, I was told that I would not see my two children grow up; I was given months to live. He underwent an Emergency Operation in Basingstoke Hospital and a tumour was removed from my Stomach.

The Steve Prescott Fund was formed immediately by a group of Rugby League Supporters they raised money for Steve and my family so Steve could concentrate on his battle against Cancer. Over the next year I defied medical experts and managed to build myself up to my rugby playing weight by spending hours in Gym.

At a Wigan v Saints Charity Supporters match in August 2007 for Christies Hospital Manchester I was invited to be the Guest of Honour, it was decided in a conversation between Martin Blondel and I that we would start to raise money for the two organisations that had supported me throughout my ordeal Christies and the RFL Benevolent Fund. The Steve Prescott Fund was ceased and the Steve Prescott Foundation created

The Long Walk Home was the first Event organised for the Foundation, it was 200 mile walk involving all the Super League Clubs within the M62 Corridor, it was a huge success £60,000 was raised, since then the Foundation has expanded and at the moment we have given over £200,000 to the Charities with a wide range of events from Rugby Legends Boxing each other to Steve completing the London Marathon plus the highly successful Carnegie Challenge which entailed a 900 mile bike ride from Catalans  (Perpignan), 26 Mile Dragon Boat down the Thames and Half Marathon run into Wembley to deliver the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final Ball in time for the Kick Off.

I am at the moment is still undergoing intense Chemotherapy but this does not stop me from trying impossible feats, i pushes my body to the limits.

In 2010 I was awarded the MBE for his services to Rugby League and Charity.

My next event is the Engage Mutual End to End Extreme Challenge starting on the 4 June. This consists of Cycling from Lands End To John O’Groats and climbing the National Three Peaks Snowdon, Scafell & Ben Nevis. This will be my toughest to date!

Here is the Itinerary
