On the 17th April 2011, I will be running the London Marathon in Support of a local Sheffield based Charity called 'Support Dogs'.
Support Dogs (www.support-dogs.org.uk) is a unique UK Charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with epilepsy, physical disabilities and families with children with Autism by training dogs to act as efficient and safe assistants.
The Marathon is a 26 mile (42 Km) run which I expect will take me between 4 - 5 hours. I started training on the cold and wet streets of Sheffield during the winter months hoping to reach peak physical fitness for April.
My target is to raise £1,000 for the charity, so please help in any way you can to make the undoubted agony that I am about to go through at least a little bit worthwhile
Thanks, Steve
