I have decided this year to take on the challenge of the London Marathon on the 22nd April 2012. I have chosen a charity that I have a personal association with, which is exactly what I needed in order to take on the many months of grueling training all during the winter period !!!

Based in Holybourne, near Alton in Hampshire, they have all the expertise and facilities that young people need to learn and develop as adults, in a really positive, supportive environment.

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH

Update @ 16.02.2012 - longest run to date 12 miles and hoping to do something similar this weekend. Thankfully remaining injury free to date and have possibly a 17 mile training run on the 26.02.2012.

This training doesnt get any easier not matter what you may think although the snow has at long last disappeared.....Cant wait for this to all be over as I would like to stop feeling continuously tired and hungry!!!

Sunday 4th March 2012 - Completed another half marathon (Berkhampstead) in the wind and rain in 1hr 39min. Well pleased with time considering the weather and it being such a hilly course. Next big one is the 25.03.12 - 20 Miles !!!!

Sunday 25th march 2012 - I have now completed my biggest run to date - 20 miles in 2hrs 37 mins, quite a tough course with some nasty hills but all of which will hopefully make me stronger for the big day on the 22.04.12.

17.04.12 - Only a few days to go now and the nerves are starting, in addition to easing right up on the training in my final week. Will be collecting my official number on Wednesday at the Excel exhibition along with my running chip. Hopefully the weather on the day wont be too rubbish as I'm hoping for as much support as possible.

The sponsorship is going really well and hopefully I can just reach my target !!

I finally completed the Marathon on Sunday in 3hrs 29 mins which I am very pleased with considering how hot it turned out to be. I have almost achieved my sponsorship target also wich is amazing. A big thank you to all those that donated.
