JOB DONE!
The event was a great success and raised close to £20,000 for my charity MGA so enormous thanks to all my sponsors and to everyone else involved in making it all happen!
Reached my initial target now so big thanks to all those who have sponsored or pledged funds! However, I am not going to stop now so please continue to support me as I really would like to raise as much as I possibly can for my great charity.
Over the weekend of 17th and 18th April 2010, the weekend before the London marathon itself, I am leading a group of walkers step for step along the very same route that 35,000 London Marathon runners will be covering 7 days later.
Organising, undertaking and completing this unique event will be a huge challenge for me and at the end, we will have completed the most famous 26.2 miles in the world.
Having completed many treks/walks in the past, this new event is worthy of your support and will help raise valuable funds for my charity MGA. So please dig deep and sponsor me as I have set a target of winning at least £10 of sponsor money for every mile covered i.e. £260. (any amount will be gratefully received) If you gift-aid your donation each £1 you sponsor me will become £1.28 thanks to HMRC!
The funds raised will help provide support and care to those of all ages living with Myasthenia and help us to educate both the medical profession and the general public about this rare condition.
