The Prince's Trust Palace to Palace 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

On Sunday 2nd October I will be taking part in the Palace to Palace cycle ride. Joined by a couple of equally keen mates, we will be pedalling a rickshaw from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle in aid of The Princes Trust.

I'm hoping for some decent weather as this is likely to be the slowest 45 miles I have ever cycled! In fact, judging by the practice hills we have recently tried, it is likely to be the slowest 45 miles I have ever ran! Pedalling one of these things up even a hint of an incline isn't that easy on it's own, let alone with two mates and all the Premium Belgian hydration fluid we can fit in.

The Princes Trust support 13-30 year olds who are unemployed or struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people they help are in or leaving care and facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems. They give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives and help develop self-esteem and skills for work.
