200 mile Bike Ride · 28 August 2010

We support people with myasthenia and their families, increase public and medical awareness of the condition and raise funds for research and support staff. Our aim is to make life easier for people with myasthenia and their families by providing information, advice and support.

Story

The annual bike ride in memory of Theresa Vanstone, this will be our third year.

We are riding for a charity called Myasthenia Gravis Association www.mgauk.org/ . MGA is a muscle disease. Activities taken for granted by most of us become difficult or even impossible at times for myasthenics. Simple things like eating food, lifting arms, speaking to friends or laughing.

The 200 mile hilly bike ride!!! Will start on Saturday the 28th August at 8.00am in Tavistock Town Centre with the gang of Steve Vanstone, Stuart Corbett, Mike Lyddon, Steve Langsford and Dan, plus the support crew of Sheila and Chris Corbett finishing in Ilfracombe. Day 2 the boys will cycle from Ilfracombe to Dawlish. Bank Holiday Monday - Day 3 will see the cyclist finish back in Tavistock Town Centre around 4pm.
