Hi,

A quick update - a huge thank you to Bernard Lee & his team at the John Barleycorn in Duxford who hosted a charity auction night raising £500 towards this great event - thanks also go to John Bexon who provided a beer tasting + auctioned a brewery tour of the Greene King brewery & also to GK free trade who donated a table at the Wasps v Sale rugby match on the 14th Feb + also thanks to all those who contributed the other auction items - a great night & a great sum raised.

Thanks for having a look -

I'm joining Lawrence Dallaglio & friends on the Paris to Twickenham leg of his Rome to Murrayfield cycle. I'm just doing 442 km (!) arriving in Twickenham on the evening before the England Ireland 6 Nations game in Feb 2010. The idea is to raise money for Sport Relief and the Dallaglio Foundation, which supports some excellent charities including Leukaemia Research, DebRA, Help for Heros and the PRA Benevolent Fund

OK, so it's obvious from the pic, I'm a novice - clearly helmet required, alongside go faster clothing & maybe a better bike - hopefully I can get away with the jet propelled assistance of willing 3 year old (I haven't been brave enough to tell her yet that her assistance may be considered cheating!)

The serious bit: Lawrence kicks off his cycle on the 12th February next year, cycling from Rome to Murrayfield. This is a 2800 km cycling challenge, taking place during the Six Nations tournament, visiting Paris, Twickenham, Cardiff and Dublin along the way. I'm working on the assumption that the first 1000 or so km would have worn Lawrence out & give me a chance to keep up over the next 442 km!

I hope you are able to dig deep to help me raise some well needed cash for some very deserving causes.
