Ben Nevis Challenge · 6 February 2006

Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.

Story

On 13th May 2006  I will join a group of like-minded hill walkers to conquer Ben Nevis in Scotland, and raise money for the British Epilepsy Association.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Action will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

"One in 131 people in the UK has epilepsy - around 456,000 - making it the second most common neurological condition after migraine. In the past, when little was understood about epilepsy, those of us with it often faced quite a bit of prejudice. Thankfully these attitudes are changing in the UK. However, we may still come across those who try to limit our opportunities in life through fear or lack of knowledge. ... Epilepsy Action provides a wide range of services and information to support anybody with an interest in epilepsy."

At 4,406ft Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Britain. It attracts climbers and walkers from all over the world, all year round. On a clear day the summit provides breathtaking views over the Highlands and Western Isles.  If you want to join us, email Rachel Casey at rcasey@epilepsy.org.uk.

Thank you!
