My story
LATEST UPDATE .... please keep sponsoring !!
WEDNESDAY UPDATE - Thank you so much for keeping the sponsorship rolling in, it is just amazing. We are within touching distance of £3,000 now ...... just another £19 to go ..... can it be done ???
Sunday night - I completed the marathon in 4 hours 18 minutes; the second half was hard going, but I was inspired and motivated by the 115 people who have kindly sponsored me and the thoughts of Anna and my Mum who tragically and suddenly passed away last week. Thank you all so much for the encouragement, support and generous sponsorship .... I will never forget.
Thank you so much to the initial 69 sponsors who's kind generosity has helped me reach my initial goal of raising £2,000, I am now pushing on to try to achieve an additional £500, so please please keep sponsoring !!

Two important facts have inspired me:
1. Childhood brain tumours are the biggest 'cancer killer' of children.
2. Brain tumours are the second biggest killer of children .... period.
With your help we can do something about it together.
Anna's Hope is the channel, a registered charity set up by Rob and Carole Hughes in memory of their daughter Anna Olivia Hughes (*take a moment to click on the video below to see Anna).
Your donation will go directly to the Charity, 100% with no deductions, and the trustees will immediately put it to great use.
Initial donations are spent on funding nursing care, moving to outpatient rehabilitation and then the ulitmate goal is to fund reserach into finding a cure for this 'Forgotten Cancer'.
So please don't pass over this chance, every amount, however large or small is a valuable contribution.
I'll do the easy bit of running the London Marathon, and am already well into a training plan that sees me covering 300+ miles over the next few weeks.
The tough bit is getting the sponsorship in, so please please help as much as you can!
Thanks
Steve
