Story

Steve is taking part in the North Downs 100 which is a very challenging trial run from Farnham Surrey along the North Downs to Wye, Kent. It is actually a 102 mile course across the steep countryside including elevations of 2,000ft. He hopes to do it in 24hours so running from 6am Saturday, all through the day, all through the night and hopefully finishing Sunday morning. Due to part of the course being cross country in the dark the runners are allowed  a buddy runner for the end of the race. I will be accompanying him from Bluebell Hill to Detling and Ian is heroically doing the last 20 miles to the finish.

Steve does lots of long distance running but this is a very tough course and his ultimate challenge. We are asking for sponsorship for Ruby Laura Young, a 3 year old from Rainham Kent currently fighting Neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood cancer. She is currently being treated at the Marston but her family are raising money for further treatment in USA if needed and research into treating this horrific cancer.
