We are riding from London to Brighton through the night to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust because they need our help and because we are a little bit mad.( Well one of us is).Its 100kms of nightime open road riding with massive climbs and descents. Its very scary (Lucy did it last year!) and very tiring as we will be riding from 11pm untill we finish at brighton seafront. Its NOT your average London to brighton.. its mentally and physically incredibly challenging.

Nancy, is 2 yrs old and has Cystic Fibrosis.Its a life limiting genetic condition that affects all the organs in the body, primarily the lungs. Nancy has to take a huge amount of medication every day to prevent damage to her lungs and enable her to eat and absorb food. She has 2 hours physio every day and in the winter time is unable to mix with people like you or I because as we know the winter time is Cold/flu/cough time. Virus's that we are able to shake off will cause unreversable damage to her lungs.

People that have CF have a current life expectancy of 39 years old.Prior to that they will have spent most of their lives battling to breath. Some people have lung transplant and other organ transplants.. some are not that lucky.

 

Please help us raise money to further extand the research into drugs that will help Nancy and other children not become a statistic of this awful disease.
