Vietnam-Cambodia Cycle Challenge · 5 February 2015 to 15 February 2015 ·

Every single day, 15 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Almost half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In February 2015 I am delighted to be taking part in the MAG Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia in support of MAG (Mines Advisory Group).

Starting from Ho Chi Minh City, we travel through the paddy fields of southern Vietnam before crossing into Cambodia. After crossing the Mekong River cyclists will finish at one of the wonders of the ancient world, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat.

By supporting me in my Vietnam to Cambodia cycle challenge you will be helping MAG to continue lifesaving work in conflict affected countries around the world.

MAG's vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict. Your support is absolutely crucial for MAG. Every day 11 people are killed or injured by a landmine explosion.

MAG has worked in more than 40 countries since 1989, to save lives and build futures by:

Reclaiming land contaminated with the remnants of conflict, such as landmines, cluster munitions, bombs, shells and mortars.

Finding ways to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians.

Creating safe and secure conditions for development.

This work cannot continue without our support, so I hope you will be able to sponsor me in this challenge, so MAG can continue theirs.

Thank you for your support which is hugely appreciated.
