<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">One Week in June – Bikeathon</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">During w/c 20 June a number of the Leadership Team from RBS Business Services will be taking part in a Bikeathon from John O’Groats to Lands End (over 1,000 miles), visiting four centres on the way.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Additionally, through June and early July I will also be participating in four other cycling events (in South Wales; Dartmoor and twice in the French Alps, including the Etape du Tour – part of the route of the Tour de France).<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The hundreds of miles I’ll be cycling will also see me climbing well over 20,000 metres – well over twice the height of Mount Everest!</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">My cycling activity gives me an opportunity to raise money for a charity, and I’ve chosen the The Yard, Edinburgh, just around the corner from an office that I regularly visit.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Tahoma;">The Yard is the only indoor and outdoor adventure play centre for children with additional support needs in the east of Scotland. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Its success is largely due to a talented and dedicated team of specialist workers who inspire, guide and support the children and young people who visit. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They run stimulating play sessions and youth clubs for disabled children and young people aged 3-25 and have around 10,000 visits from some 1,500 children every year. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Yard is open six days a week from 9.00 - 9.00 and needs £300,000 a year to continue with its fantastic work. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If you would like to know more about The Yard please email <a title="blocked::mailto:info@theyardscotland.org.uk" href="mailto:info@theyardscotland.org.uk">info@theyardscotland.org.uk</a> or visit their website at <a title="blocked::http://www.theyardscotland.org.uk/" href="http://www.theyardscotland.org.uk/">www.theyardscotland.org.uk</a></span></p>
