<p><br>I selected the MCA Trust as my charity when opting to run the Toronto Marathon as there are many personal connections to this charity and the cause itself. <br>&nbsp;<br>The MCA Trust is named in honour of my late uncle&nbsp; Michael Adams, who was awarded the MBE for his community work and assisting those families in need within his local home region.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>The MCA trust itself, primarily focuses on families the have children with cancer, which has also impacted my life and my family in London. At the age of 5 my cousin had undergone two life saving surgeries with brain tumours being removed at the Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital in London.&nbsp;</p> <p>The one downside to selecting this charity is that those not based in the UK cannot claim any tax benefit.&nbsp; However, I do feel this is justifiable considering the personal attachment to the charity.<br>&nbsp;<br>So there you have it. On May 6th, I will run 26.2 miles/42.5km to assist those that are in a position none of us would ever hope to find ourselves in.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>If you can pass this email on to those friends and&nbsp;family members that you feel would sponsor me, that would be appreciated.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Thanks</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
